. The Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC) has come a long way since its inception in 1976. RAC was formed to provide training, educational standards and disseminate information about reflexology. From small beginnings, with members clustered in and around Toronto, the Association has grown into a Canada-wide organization with international members and teachers. In 1978 the Association was incorporated as a federally chartered non-profit organization, with federally approved By-laws and policies and procedures that regulate the way the Association is managed. All members are guided by our By-laws. RAC has a Board of Directors who are elected by the membership for two-year terms. All directors are volunteers and give freely and generously of their time and talents. At the Annual General Meeting the Board of Directors explains what has been done during the past year, outlines plans for the coming year, and presents the annual audit of the financial position of the Association.

Lise Kunzi My name is Lise Kunzi and I am a Canadian citizen, although for the most part I have lived abroad.
I have more than 30 years of combined experience working with and helping people. While my early life was defined by serving in hotels and restaurants owned by my family, more recent job opportunities have prepared me to work in a more Holistic industry.
Commitment to Wellness
The History of the Reflexology Association of Canada
RAC continues to work towards unity in the profession, to advocate for reflexology and Reflexologists and to pursue a raising of standards and ethics. RAC will aggressively defend its name, its reputation, its copyright, and its curriculum from any and all who choose to threaten the Association.

I am a RAC certified RCRT and also a registered RRPr with the RRCO. I have been certified in Foot reflexology as well as Facial Reflex Therapy Sorensen System and other modalities: Usui Ryoho Reiki levels I and II, CranioSacral Therapy level I, EFT levels I and II and Ear Candling.
One of the principals that lead me in life is to give back to society. Since an early age I understood that being part of society means to give back. When I came to Toronto in 1998 I found a niche that was appropriate to a new comer and that is working with the street people. It is doing this volunteer work that I learnt that there are no homeless people because the streets are their homes… I am serving as a volunteer in CHATS day programme and also at the Thornhill Hospice day programme as palliative support with complementary therapy in addition to taking care of my business, Sole Dimension. Knowledge is very important to me and therefore I continue reading and learning either by my own or attending different seminars and courses in order to expand my knowledge. And now is my time to give back to RAC and its members. I want to see Reflexology becoming a respected therapy in the eyes of the public and insurance companies, meaning that we have to thrive to set our professional standards as high as possible.
Being a Board member involves being a leader, facing new challenges, working as team member, and gaining educational experiences.
After researching Reflexology courses offered in 2009, I found that the best suited course for my interests were with RAC. I undoubtedly enjoyed the course and delight in my decision to explore in this unique healing art. The growth encouraged by my instructor had a great impact in my life. What turned out to be an exploration in the interest of Reflexology has created a whole new path I am excited to take.
I am appreciative of the foundation provided by RAC and am aware of the great potential that lies within a strong organization. With nationwide participation and direction, the possibilities can be endless and should be anticipated. I am excited for the opportunity to work with an organization that will help bring forth the importance of Reflexology to individual wellness, and encouragement of fellow Reflexologists to create a structure that will broaden the healing art of Reflexology within our communities.
I got certified with RAC in June 1998, and have been successful in my home based business. I have my regular clientele that truly love the feel of my "healing hands" as they term it.
Over the years I have taken Therapeutic Touch, Level II, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Deep Mucles Therapy, and Thai Foot Reflexology. These have all been a great benefit to my business. In 2009 I was instrumental in forming the Grey-Bruce RAC Chapter, we meet quarterly, and regularly exchange treatments, for the benefit of each other. I am also employed locally at the Senior Citizens Home and they love the evenings of "Pampering", because that is when I get to give the selected residents a much loved and deserved "treat". Until recently I was a member of the Central Bruce Chamber of Commerce. A member of the local curling club and Lioness. I have travelled thru the UK, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, The Orient and Far East. Returning to Canada, my birthplace, and have travelled across Canada many times, loving the beauty and scenery. Happy to see daybreak and hit the floor with my feet running to start a new day, doing the things I love most, taking care of those who love an appreciate me, my "healing hands", and request my smile and energy boost. I am truly in the hands of God, for those who love me for what I am. To serve on the Board of Directors of the Reflexology Association of Canada would be an honour; I am most humble but have been instrumental in the past of getting to the point and getting things done, not on my own but with volunteers and designated help. (e.g our local library was about to close a number of years ago, I spearheaded a group to "Save Our Library" and it is still open and doing well.)
Past Chair
Anna Savic was born in Belgrade and received her Bachelor degree in Accounting at the Belgrade University of Economics. In 2000, Anna moved to Canada and started her career all over again - this time in English. She took ESL classes and eventually redid all her Accounting training. She is currently one level away from her CGA designation.
20 years ago, Anna was introduced to complementary modalities and was intrigued. Even though her career has been in the corporate world, she began exploring her passion for complementary modalities by reading and studying all that she could. Anna now has certifications in Silva Method, Hypnotherapy, NLP, Past Life Regression, as well as Reflexology. She has also studied Aromatherapy, Macrobiotics, Numerology, and EFT. Of all the complementary modalities, Reflexology intrigued Anna the most and she began her journey with Foot Reflexology Certification through RAC. She has now obtained her certification as a Teacher Trainer with RAC in Foot, Hand and Ear Reflexology. Anna was a member of the Education Committee for 2 years, helping them plan and organize various speakers and workshops. She was also Treasurer for the Toronto Chapter for 1 year. Anna has been involved in and has volunteered in many Reflexology events over the years, including Whole Life Expos, various other Toronto Chapter events and meetings, and had attend the Montreal RAC Conference a couple of years ago. She is looking forward to his year's AGM in Calgary. Outside of the corporate and complementary modality world, Anna's great love and hobby for the past 10 years has been painting Byzantine icons using traditional techniques. Last year, after many years of silence, Anna began to write poetry. She won First Prize as a poet in Diaspora in 2010. In the same year, Anna successfully published her first book and presented it at the Satellite and Medias in Europe, in October at "Poets in Diaspora" - a famous book fair in Belgrade, Serbia. Anna's other interests include gardening, music, and mediation. Out of all of Anna's vast interest, Reflexology remains her biggest passion. As member of the RAC Board of Director, Anna looks forward to working to promote RAC's vision both nationally and internationally. It is a challenge that she embraces wholeheartedly.

email: daisanne.summersfield@reflexolog.org I am a RAC certified RCRT Reflexologist and also one of just 11 non medical people worldwide to be certified in Clavitherapy. I am dedicated to the pursuit of complementary medicine and volunteered for the RAC Board so that I could be in a position to make a difference to the way in which complementary modalities are perceived in Canada. One of my major objectives is to work with Health Insurance companies to ensure that Reflexology is included in the list of modalities that are covered. I am currently very involved in developing Clavitherapy techniques and run the Clavitherapy Clinic which is already growing significantly as more people become aware of the benefits of the modalities which is one of the derivations of Reflexology to which RAC is committed. I combine my love of and work in Reflexology and Clavitherapy with a very demanding career as a Lead Negotiator with one of Manitoba's biggest unions and I am also mother to two teenage children.
